Every year, as flood season approaches (July), the Xiaolangdi Dam on China's Yellow River the Chinese goverment opens large ports/portals along the dam's walls to give relief to the reservoir above the river below. Thousands of tourists gather to witness a ritual cleansing so powerful, it appears as if the earth has exploded.
